Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Bible is verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit and
without error in the original manuscripts and is the infallible and
authoritative Word of God. Upon the Bible we base our doctrine,
teaching and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21).
We Believe there is one God eternally existent in three Persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who is the creator and sustainer of
all things. (Isaiah 44:6, Genesis 1:1 & 26, Matthew 3:15-17,
Colossians 1:15-17).
We believe in Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, and in His
Deity, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His shed blood for
atonement, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and future return,
and His present intercession for believers. (John 1:18, John
10:30-33, Matthew 1:22-24, Luke 1:34-35, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians
1:7, Luke 24:6 & 39, John 14:1-3, Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 7:25)
We believe that all men are by nature sinful and lost (Romans 3:10,
19, 23) and that Holy Spirit regeneration is absolutely essential
for salvation
(John 1:13).
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin (John 16:8), makes
believers children of God through new birth (John 3:3), assuring
them of Heaven and by His indwelling enables Christians to live
godly lives
(1 Corinthians 3:16: Titus 3:5,6).
We believe that men are justified only by faith in the death and
shed blood of Jesus Christ
(Romans 5:1; Acts 13:38, 39).
We believe in the personal, visible, imminent, pre-millennial return
of Christ, the resurrection of the just, the everlasting blessedness
of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost
(John 5:28, 29; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).
We believe that Satan is a spiritual being who is the enemy of God
and men, and is the author of sin and death
(1 Peter 5:8,9; Matthew 4:2-11).
We believe Christ’s commission to the Church is to go into all the
world and preach the gospel to every creature
(Mark 16:15).
We believe that baptism is a scriptural ordinance to be administered
by a New Testament Church (Romans 6:3-5; Matthew 3:15,16) by immersion
(Acts 8:38, 39) for believers only (Acts 2:41) as an outward
expression of belief in Christ
(1 Peter 3:21).
-
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a scriptural ordinance of the Church
to be partaken of by obedient, born-again believers
(1 Corinthians 11:23-29).
We believe the Church, the Body or Bride of Christ, consists only
of those who are born again, for whom He now makes intercession in
Heaven and for whom He shall come again
(John 14:3; Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14).
We believe that Biblical marriage is the unity of only one man and
one woman, (their gender being determined and finalized at conception),
committed in covenant to each other for life. We believe marriage
was established by God and instituted between the first man and the
first woman
(Genesis 2:18-25; Romans 1:18-31; I Corinthians 7:2-5;
Ephesians 5:31-32; Hebrews 13:4).
